November Meeting and Energy Generation Opportunities

Our next Climate Network meeting is Saturday 7th November at 10.30am. Here’s the link to the Google Hangout.

Solar United Neighbors project

For information on joining a regional solar coop visit: https://coops.solarunitedneighbors.org/coops/morris-and-southwest-prairie-solar-co-op/

Joining the coop is really straight forward, costs nothing and does not commit you to doing anything. The goal is to get a group of interested people together who want to investigate the possibility of installing solar panels on their homes or other buildings they own.

Otter Tail Power Company

A number of network members have begun joining with other Otter Tail Power Company customers, with help from a Sierra Club coordinator, to educate themselves about how the company works and what might be done to encourage them to close their coal fired power stations and move towards renewables. If you’d like to know more take a look at this slideshow:

The next meeting for this group will be Thursday 22nd October at 6pm. I will share the link once it goes up and anyone on this list is welcome to attend.

Hi Susan,
Given the weather, I finally have had the chance to check this site out. It is going to take a little time to figure out how to navigate, but you have created a very informative website. Thank you for all your hard work on it!
I am very interested in exploring solar for Morning Sky Greenery. I have wanted to do this for a very long time and it seems the time is ripe! I have joined the solar coop and am waiting to hear back on some more information regarding our greenhouses.
Keep me on the list!
Sally
